Hex Nut Brown Ale
The name has BP written all over it! "Hex Nut". What next? Gear Head
Hefeweizen?? Made for garage boys:-)
Ok, enough of the fun. This beer rocked! It had a sweet and pleasing
bouquet; I found myself keeping the glass up to my face longer and
longer, post quaff. I could not draw up enough of that sweet odor to
the olfactory nerve and let it wash over my neurosensory cells! If you
drink this straight from the bottle, you may never get to experience it.
You can see from the pics that I generally try to use glassware when
drinking these beers, I think it helps, a whole bunch in the overall
experience. I have even heard that the type of glass you use is
important. Who knows about all that, I like my little glass that came
with the Michelob Beer Box.

Headless Man Amber Alt
No, that is not a typo... I had to look up "alt". Alt is for Altbier,
a German styled brown ale. There is some differing opinions of what
"alt" means. German translation is "old", Altbiers are conditioned for
a longer than normal period of time. Alt, in Latin, from "altus" means
"high" and refers to the rising yeast.
Whatever! I'll let someone else fight over the meaning, after all, I am
only about drinking it and could give a crap about the meaning:-) This
is an ok beer; seemed a little boring to me. If anything, the beer
taught me about Altbiers. Learned something AND drank beer.
Woohoo-woohoohoo.

Dark Doppelbock!!
Hmmm, the Capital Brewery website says this beer is available in
December and January. It's drawing in on the end of March. If it has
been sitting around for a while, it does not seem to have hurt this beer
one bit! I thought this was a really nice beer. One of those "daily
drinkers". I think maybe old BP might agree that this one won't leave
ya feeling bloated. Not many beers can leave me feeling bloated,
anyway!! :-)
Bonus footage: Mikey wiping his mouth in the background,
wondering, why I take more pictures of my beer than my kids.
Son, when you're of age and you have kids, you'll know why.
The website below has a recipe for a Chocolate Doppelbock Cake! Wonder
if Mich would make that. Frickin beer cake!! Outstanding!!
