GeoCaching: Pristine Peshtigo Whitewater

N45 33.280 W088 29.216
We got skunked by this one. The last two people who attempted to find
this one could not find it either. But, it was so close to the other
one and more of a challenge with a longer hike, that we tried to find it.

GPS led us to within 4 feet of this stump, which sits damn near on top
of the coordinates, but no booty to be gotten. Michelle and I walked
around the area for about an hour.

Michelle went up to mid-calf in some soupy goop, hehe. Both of us had
gotten pretty wet. But it really was worth it!! The rapids, and the
sound of them, was great! I have to get a battery for my digital
camera! This hike about killed me, but I was really glad that I am no
longer a smoker!! Sure, I was panting hard, but no wheezing:-) Ready
for a nap and a beer now!!

GeoCaching: Relaxing at the Peshtigo

N45 31.310 W088 23.668
Had the day off today, decided to do some caching. This was about 24
miles from the house along the Peshtigo River. Man, the bugs are out,
big-time! Need to get a can of Off in the truck/car. This was the
first find of the day. There were two within a few miles of each other
and this would be the easiest find, so we started here. Nice little
shrine/grotto on the side of the road near the cache. Weird, in the
middle of nowhere and you don't expect to see that. Maybe that is the
real point behind GeoCaching... Gets you out to see stuff you never
knew existed. I got my mug in this shot! Mich is holding a travel bug.
