It has been quite some time since I've posted, let alone a beer post.
After being down and out with some sickness, it is time to get back to
some beer! I went beer shopping for the holiday weekend and only
bought beers that I haven't added out here, so look for another 4 in
the next few days. This beer shopping trip was held at Trig's Cellar
70 in Rhinelander. I think they have gotten MORE beers in there! I
paced up and down the aisles looking at everything!! All the while
wondering how much room was left on the credit cards and wondering how
big of an order would I have to place before they would deliver for
free...
I took a pic of this beer after I poured it in the glass, just as I
normally try to do. However, today, when I downloaded the picture from
my phone, I noticed my camera lens needed cleaning. I grabbed the
bottle out of the recycling box and snapped another picture in front of
BIG-ASS-DOG.
This was a great beer! I spotted it sitting next to the single bottles
of Hacker-Pschorr Weisse. I grabbed a bottle and a bottle of Weisse.
The warmer this beer got, the better! By the time I finished the 1/2
liter, I wished I had bought another couple bottles! Could smell
molasses and some kind of fruity something or another in there. I
could not pick the fruit out, it had a sweetish odor, not overly done,
a hint. I wish I could learn how to taste what is in the beer:) The
label boasts 7.5% alc. by volume and it tasted like it. The 1/2 liter
bottle was 2.19 and they had normal 6-packs for about 10 bucks. This
won't become a daily drinker, but it is worthy of being one if I had
some more cash, haha. Gotta boost the Google revenues!
